• security: validate language and namespace in read() before they are passed to the loader. i18next resolves any string as a language unless supportedLngs is set, so these values can carry whatever a language detector picked up from the querystring, path or a cookie. The documented usage pattern is import(./locales/${language}/${namespace}.json), and while a bundler compiles that template to a fixed context map, an unbundled ESM runtime (Node SSR) resolves the specifier against the filesystem, where a crafted value escapes the locales directory. Values containing .., \, control characters, __proto__ / constructor / prototype, or longer than 128 characters are now rejected with an error and the loader is never called; / is rejected for language but allowed for namespace, where nested layouts such as a/b are legitimate. The same check keeps the static-resources lookup off Object.prototype.

• Fixed a bug where updating a Checkbox, Switch, or RadioGroup value programmatically (eg. a "select all" control) while inside a <form> would dispatch a click event from the hidden bubble input that propagated to ancestor onClick handlers.

The parser powering <Trans> is now actively maintained under the i18next org (i18next/html-parse-stringify) after years without upstream releases. 4.x brings modern dual ESM/CJS packaging with an exports map, zero runtime dependencies, reworked TypeScript types and a long list of parser fixes (literal < in text, multiline/CRLF attribute values, comments containing >, doctype handling, quote-aware bracket handling).
• refactor(Trans): the internal escapeLiteralLessThan scanner (~80 lines) is replaced by the parser's new allowedTags option with identical semantics: only numbered tags, kept basic HTML tags and known component names are parsed as markup, any other tag-shaped sequence in the translation stays literal text. Rendered output is unchanged (all 493 tests pass, including the #1880 and #1893 escaping cases).
