Local control of an ACiQ/Midea HVAC system whose only smart interface is a cloud-bound TL04-1 wall thermostat. An ESP32 bridges onto the air handler's XYE service bus over RS-485 and presents it to Home Assistant, alongside a pixel-matched replica of the thermostat's screen.

Reverse-engineered UART protocol for an ACiQ K18W mini split (TCL WBR1 dongle, CN-16). 115200 8N1 with 0xA5 framing - not TCL tclac, not Midea, not Tuya. Includes an ESPHome listen-only decoder for Home Assistant.
