A Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) agent trained to adaptively control a 4-way traffic signal intersection under realistic Bangalore traffic volumes (16,400 vehicles/day, 12 turning movements), simulated in SUMO. Evaluated against a fixed-cycle baseline across 9 performance metrics including waiting time, queue length, throughput, and delay.
