π¨ Severity: HIGH
π‘ Vulnerability: Information Exposure via Discord Logs. The bot was previously catching command errors and, when
config.debugwas true, appending the full error stack (e.stack) directly to the output sent to a Discord moderation channel.π― Impact: Appending stack traces to external chat logs can expose sensitive internal server structure, file paths, dependency versions, and underlying logic which could aid attackers in discovering vulnerabilities.
π§ Fix: Replaced the line appending the stack trace to the user-facing message with an internal
console.error(e.stack).β Verification: Ran
node -c bot/bot.jsto verify syntax. Added learnings to.jules/sentinel.md.PR created automatically by Jules for task 1488570952475829313 started by @DerUntote
