⚠️ PRs 1–3 are stacked (each targets the one above). This is the combined branch that actually merges into main — its diff equals the sum of #170 + #171 + #172.

Combined v3 release, merging the three stacked changes below into main.

Highlights

• Node 24 + ESM modernization (release(v3): [1/4] Modernize repository to align with actions/typescript template #170) — node24 runtime, ESM + Rollup, uuid replaced by node:crypto.
• return_run_details support (release(v3): [2/4] Add support for return_run_details #171) — workflow_dispatch gets run ID/URL from the API response, dropping the discovery/polling workaround.
• Dead error-handling removed (release(v3): [3/4] Remove dead error handling code #172) — unreachable status guards deleted; Octokit's own errors surface instead.

Breaking changes

• Runtime: now runs on node24 — runners without Node 24 support can't execute it.
• Behavior: workflow_dispatch run discovery now relies on GitHub's return_run_details; instances that don't honour it (e.g. older GHES returning 204) now fail explicitly instead of continuing silently.
